It has lived up to my expectations, though it took some customizing and tweaking. The tweak that had the most impact was installing a new Windows Mobile ROM. That alone boosted the phone performance tremendously. The ROM is an official but not yet officially released ROM. The new ROM also improved the initial response time of the GPS. Now Google Maps works very well utilizing the internal GPS. And no, you do not need to use AT@T's GPS software. I finally got internet connection sharing working. The registry has to be edited. AT@T have this disabled by default. WIFI also works well. Again, it took some tweaking. There is no 3G available where I live so it is great to be able to use my wireless home network.
